Just when residents thought New York State could not sink any lower under the dubious leadership of Cuomo, New York City has now taken a nose dive by making name calling illegal. Not only has NYC made name calling illegal, but it is punishable with a fine of up to $250,000 per offense!
City Hall's Commision on Human Rights claims that use of the words "illegal alien" or "illegals" with the intent to offend the person, is motivated by hate and therefore tantamount to discrimination. While many consider this move to be nothing more than an exercise in absurd theater, it demonstrates just how far New York has fallen from grace under Cuomo and Deblasio.
Today's politicians are abusing their power to advance and impose their own personal political agenda, instead of doing what is best for all of the people. Mandates by the people are being ignored and the divide in this country is increasing almost daily. This has perhaps never been more true than it is today in New York State, which is divided into three very distinct and different parts comprised of Upstate, NYC and Long Island. In fact these three areas are so different that to a New York State resident, they appear to effectively be like three different states.
The peoples' remedy is found in the right to vote . We must get out and vote to remove all politicians that are abusing the power of their office to advance their own personal political agenda and bias, pass absurd and inequitable legislation, and waste tax payer dollars on obstruction and investigative perpetuity. To the contrary, politicians are elected to do what is best for all of the people and if they are unwilling to do so, we have the right and obligation to replace them on Election Day.
